AW26Chapter 04 — FilamentSeoul

Everything visible is something burning slowly

Studio

A THREADHELD TOCURRENT

A filament is the same object twice — the fibre a garment is spun from, and the wire a lamp burns out. We work in the overlap.

The studio makes clothes and it makes film, and it does not rank them. A cut is tested on a body, then tested again at twenty-four frames. What survives both is the collection.
